UK records highest daily COVID-related death toll since March

Arunachal Pradesh reported another case of COVID-19 on May 28 taking the total number of cases in the state to 3.

In the morning on May 28, Chief Minister Pema Khandu through social media posts informed that the patient is asymptomatic and has been transferred to a hospital from quarantine facility from where he was detected positive.

“One more positive case (asymptomatic) has been detected yesterday night. Patient is already shifted from quarantine facility to COVID Care Centre. His condition is normal. Now total active positive case stands at 2,” the chief minister tweeted.

Reports said that the patient had returned to the state recently from Chennai and was staying at a quarantine centre. The person was found positive from Itanagar Capital Complex.

Earlier, Arunachal Pradesh reported 2 positive cases. The first patient, having detected COVID-19 positive in Medo under Lohit district, was treated at District Hospital in Tezu. He was discharged from the hospital on April 17 after recovering from the disease and consecutive tests coming negative.

Later on May 24, a Delhi returnee was tested at Seijosa in Pakke Kessang district. He was the only positive case in the state till the new case on May 28 was detected. Now the number of active cases in the state stands at 2.

Arunachal Pradesh has conducted 6436 tests till May 27, according to a health department bulletin.
