Assam on June 14 reported 10 fresh cases of COVID-19, the highest single-day spike since March 1.

The state’s COVID-19 tally rose to 7,24,267 on June 14, with 33 of them active, a health bulletin said.

The daily positivity rate was 2.31 per cent with 432 samples being tested during the day,

The state had registered 12 cases against the testing of 2,479 samples on March 1 this year.

On June 14, eight fresh cases were reported in Kamrup district, and one each in Bongaigaon and Kamrup Metro districts, the bulletin said.

A total of 2.44 crore people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, 2.10 crore have been fully vaccinated, and 5.66 lakh have been administered the booster dose thus far, it added.
