Assam Rifles nabs active ULFA (I) cadre in Nagaland

Assam Rifles apprehended one active ULFA (I) cadre near Six Mile in Tuli town of Mokokchung district of Nagaland on March 12.

According to Defence PRO Lt Col. P Khongsai, based on specific intelligence, the troops launched an operation and apprehended a cadre of ULFA (I) identified as self styled sargent Raghu Nath Kall, aged 39 years, a resident of Bangari Gaon.

The items recovered from the individual included one Shot Gun Rifle, two Hand Grenades, assorted ammunition and five Detonators.

The apprehended individual along with recovered items has been handed over to Tuli Police Station under Mokokchung district for further investigation, the release said.
