Bank of India celebrated its 113th foundation day on Friday. On this day, in 1906, the Bank of India was established in Mumbai.

On the occasion, the zonal manager Amitabh Banerjee in his address stressed that every branch in Guwahati Zone should be committed to becoming the bank of choice by providing superior, customer-friendly, innovative services with an attitude of care and concern for the customers.

All the schemes launched by the Union government like Atal Pension Scheme, Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojana and various loans like Prime Minister Housing Scheme loan BOI Star Loan, BOI Star Home Loan, BOI Star Vehicle Loan, BOI Star pensioner Loan are being implemented in all branches of the zone, said a press statement.

The total number of Aadhaar enrolment branch in Bank of India is 36 at present while 12 more will be added by mid September. Till date, around 7600 Aadhaar applications are processed.

The zonal manager thanked the customers for supporting the bank because of which the bank is marching continuously focused on the path of progress.

During the occasion, Assam government’s principal secretary of finance department Samir Kumar Sinha, former general manager of Bank of India NC Mohanty and deputy zonal manager Mrinal Kanti Ghosh beside others were present.
