Blast rocks Imphal, no casualty reported

A powerful explosion rocked Manipur capital Imphal on December 15 morning.

Reports said that an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion occurred near a medical store on Tinsid road in Lamlong area of Imphal East.

No casualties were reported.

Police said the blast occurred early morning and the impact of the blast was felt in a number of shops in the area.

A medical store near the blast site was badly damaged. Police and fire tenders rushed in and the area was cordoned off, news agency UNI reported.

Police have started a probe into the incident.
