Mission China being showcased live on Facebook from a cinema screen in Assam

Parts of Zubeen Garg’s much-awaited movie Mission China was on Friday leaked on Facebook when various cinegoers did Facebook live from inside cinema halls in Assam.

The excitement of Zubeen Garg fans went overboard as some fans were seen posting live videos from inside cinema halls.

In a Facebook post, co-producer of the film Garima Saikia Garg posted snapshots of people going Facebook live from inside theatres. “We are going to take legal action against these guys showing our film Mission China live on Facebook directly from the screen…,” she wrote.

“Ridiculous … do start the legal proceeding immediately Garima so that these morons & their tribe learn a lesson which they won’t forget in a hurry…,” wrote filmmaker Bidyut Kotoky on the post. Kotoky’s Xhoixobote Dhemalite or Rainbow Fields has recently won the Best Foreign Film in the Hollywood International Cinefest and is now raising funds through a crowdfunding campaign for the film’s release in Assam.

This comes at a time when Zubeen Garg-starrer Mission China is being touted as one of the biggest releases in Assam. The Assamese language action drama film directed by Zubeen Garg and produced by Garima Saikia Garg under the banner of ‘I Creation Productions’, features Zubeen Garg and Deeplina Deka in lead roles. Zubeen also wrote the script and screenplay for the film.

Apart from other locations in the Northeast, Mission China was shot in Mayodia, Parshuram Kund and Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh.
