Guwahati is all set to enjoy a hearty dose of slapstick comedy as the immensely popular Dr Mashoor Gulati aka Gutthi – aka Sunil Grover – is set to entertain a packed GMCH Auditorium in Guwahati on November 12. The comedy show has been organized by Guwahati Round Table 235 under the banner of Round Table India as a charity fund-raiser to help build classrooms and school infrastructure at Shankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan in Dadara, near Hajo.

“Hi Guwahati, I am coming to your city on November 12 to have loads of fun with you. Dr Mashoor Gulati will do all kind of your check-ups and will also tell you why Rinku Bhabhi’s husband doesn’t love her anymore,” said Sunil Grover, in a video message. Sunil Grover, who hit the jackpot with his role as Gutthi in a popular comedy show on television, and went on to portray roles like Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi, has also acted in a number of Bollywood films.

Round Table India is a non-profit organization primarily focused on building infrastructure of schools for less privileged under its flagship programme “Freedom Through Education”.

Guwahati Round Table 235 adopted the Dadara school under Round Table India’s flagship “Freedom Through Education” project. The Table aims to redevelop the said school.

“The school in Dadara is being developed in 4 phases in which a total of 10,500 sqft will be developed. The first two phases were completed and inaugurated. Phase 3 will start soon. The school is expected to be completely developed by the end of 2018,” said Manish Singhal, chairman, Guwahati Round Table 235.

“We are hosting Sunil Grover to raise funds for the development of the school. Besides, through this fund-raising event we want to give Guwahati a chance to witness the famous comedian perform live. Before this, we hosted two seasons of the Funny Rascals and they were a tremendous success. We hope that this show as well will have a packed house,” he added.

“The show will start at 5:30 PM. There are three categories of donor passes for the show. We have received overwhelming response from the public,” said lead convenors Piyush Jain and Mukesh Chokhani.
