The complete list, with results for all members of a family, will be published for the updated National Register of Citizens (NRC) for Assam on September 14 next.
The state coordinator of NRC, informed through a public notice, that the results for the complete family will be available for display online from September 14, 2019.
“Whereas the Final NRC publication on 31st August, 2019, consisted only of Supplementary Lists, queries are being received from the public about publication of results of all members of a family irrespective of their involvement in the Claims and Objections process,” the notice said.
In response to these queries, the state coordinator notified that the results for the complete family will be available only through online mode from September 14.
Further, on queries about issue of certified copies of rejection from Final NRC, the notice said, “The process of collection of the orders passed by the NRC officers is being carried out to enable early availability of the same to the public to file appeals. Time frame for this process will be announced shortly.”
The hearings were held at various venues away from the designated NRC Seva Kendras and hence, there has been the need to collect and compile the reports.
The final and updated NRC for Assam was published on August 31, with names of 3.11 crore applicants included in it and 19 lakh applicants left out.
