A consignment, weighing around 5.5 tons, with items like personal protective equipments (PPE), masks, sanitizers among other items reached Arunachal Pradesh on April 1.

The consignment was sent to Mohanbari airport in Dibrugarh from the Hindon Air Force station in Uttar Pradesh, an official statement said in Itanagar.

“The flight landed at Mohanbari at 1400 hrs and the equipments meant for Naharlagun were ferried by chopper. The consignment meant for DC Tezu, DC Namsai and SP Roing were all segregated as well and sent to their respective destinations,” the release added.

A few items had to be retained at Mohanbari as the helicopter could not carry all the packets together. Those items will be brought to Naharlagun by road on April 2, it said.
