Contraband drugs worth Rs 10 lakh, a pistol recovered in Karimganj

Security forces recovered a huge quantity of contraband drugs worth Rs 10 lakh and one 7.65mm pistol in Assam’s Karimganj district on November 3 night.

According to reports, based on intelligence input, troops of Assam Rifles and police had jointly launched operation at a house owned by Rejuyanul Karim at Abdulapur village near Nilambazar area in Karimganj district.

During the search operation, security personnel recovered 80 packets of YABA tablet worth Rs 10 lakh and a 7.65mm pistol along with 11 rounds live ammunition from the house.

Security personnel apprehended two persons identified as Baharuddin and Matlub Ahmed in connection with it.
