Coronavirus threat: Journalism department at Gauhati University starts e-classes

Amid the Coronavirus scare which has led to closure of educational institutions across India, the Communication and Journalism department at Gauhati University has started conducting online classes.

Head of the department, Ankuran Dutta has been conducting e-classes on a regular basis via Skype since March 18.

The Assam government directed all the educational institutions to not conduct classes as a precautionary measure to tackle Coronavirus till March 29. Earlier, the Gauhati University had directed the hostel boarders to leave the campus.

The Physics department at Gauhati University has also been conducting e-classes.
