COVID-19 cases in Nagaland reach 107

Nagaland reported 13 new COVID-19 cases on June 6 morning increasing the active cases in the state from 94 to 107.

Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom tweeted that out of 252 samples tested, 13 tested positive in the last 24 hours and all the samples were tested from Chennai returnees. Till date, all the 107 active COVID-19 cases of Nagaland are from the returnees of Chennai.

Meanwhile, one Special Shramik train from Bengaluru in Karnataka carrying about 1,477 stranded persons from Nagaland arrived at Dimapur on June 5. All the passengers were distributed in their respective district and reportedly in various quarantine centers of the district headquarters and so far there was no report of any COVID-19 active case among the Bengaluru returnees.
