Boxing star Ngangom Dingko Singh, who was found COVID-19 positive on May 31, has recovered from the disease.

His swab sample was tested negative for the virus on July 3.

The 41-year-old boxer was undergoing treatment at a COVID Care centre in Imphal after he was tested positive after returning from New Delhi.

Dingko Singh went to New Delhi for treatment and was tested for COVID-19 after his return to Manipur.

Meanwhile, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, who came back from New Delhi on July 3, was also tested at the airport.

Manipur recorded 37 new cases on July 3, taking the overall tally of COVID-19 positive cases in the state to 1316.

On July 3, 22 persons were discharged from the COVID Care Centres after they tested negative.

The total number of active cases in the state is 677 while the number of recovered patients is 639.
