The total number of COVID-19 patients in Assam touched 100 on May 17 as three more persons tested positive in Guwahati.

The three persons were at the Sarusajai quarantine centre in Guwahati after their return from outside the state.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that two of the patients came from Mumbai while one arrived from Bihar.

“Three persons are tested #COVID19 positive in Guwahati. Two of them came from Mumbai while one arrived from Bihar. All 3 are in Sarusajai quarantine centre,” he tweeted.

With the detection of new cases, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Assam touched 100 out of which 55 are active cases. As many as 41 patients recovered from the disease and were released from the hospitals while two patients died of COVID-19 complications. Two patients migrated to other states.
