A three-member central team deployed for looking into the cause behind rampant infection of COVID-19 among Border Security Force (BSF) troopers visited the camp of 86th  Battalion at Kulai in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai on May 16.

The team arrived in the district from state capital Agartala on May 16 morning and reached the camp. There they elaborately discussed with officials on different aspects and tried to find out the source of infection and later they left for the state capital. However, they denied to comment on the course of their action to the media fraternity.

The team comprised of Dr GK Medhi, HoD Community Medicine at NEIGRIMHS, Shillong; Dr Bhupen Barman, Associate Professor Medicine at NEIGRIMHS, Shillong and Dr SD Majumder, Regional Director, Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
