While Manipur saw a 500 per cent increase, Arunachal Pradesh was not far behind at 400 per cent increase in enrolment. Mizoram and Nagaland registered a 100 per cent increase, a company statement said.

The percentage increase is calculated comparing the enrolment figures of the first quarter of 2020 with that of the second quarter of the year, in other words, pre-lockdown and lockdown.

The growth includes growth of users on the Aakash iTutor app as well as the Aakash Live Class.

Commenting on the growth, Aakash Chaudhry, Director and CEO of AESL, said, “For the AESL family ‘student first’ has always been our key driver. It is heartening to see the stupendous response our EduTech platform is getting, which says a lot about the teaching pedagogy, course curriculum, training and methodology of Aakash Digital.”
