Assam Police seized drugs worth Rs 28 crore in Bongaigaon district and arrested two persons, police said on March 23.
Based on secret information, police of Bongaigaon district had intercepted an inter-state bus in Gerukabari area on March 22 night and seized 4.9 kg of heroin from the bus.
A police officer said that the market value of the seized drugs is estimated at around Rs 28 crore.
Police had arrested two persons who had boarded the Siliguri-bound bus coming from Shillong at Rangiya in Assam.
