DTDC inaugurates 31,000 sq ft office in Guwahati (Representational Photo)

Leading parcel service provider DTDC has announced the inauguration of its latest office and an operations facility in Guwahati. The 31,000 sq ft office located at Pamohi, Guwahati, will serve as the one-stop destination from where express, e-commerce and ground services of DTDC will operate.

The latest office space will also be equipped with state-of-the-art systems such as handheld scanners, and is supported by a vast vehicular network connecting the entire 7 states in the Northeast. “With the latest facility, DTDC has further strengthened its ability to efficiently meet the increasing demand for logistical services in the Northeast India as e-commerce transactions in the region are growing at the moment,” a company statement said.

“Assam is an important strategic location as it can serve important locations in all states of the Northeast. The infrastructural addition will help to create more employment opportunities for the people in the region, empower industrialists and entrepreneurs from a number of domains and augment the region’s economic growth substantially. Also, DTDC has been simultaneously establishing an office along with its regional facilities to ensure user queries are attended too swiftly,” the company statement further said.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by CMD Subhasish Chakraborty, Executive Director Abhishek Chakraborty and Director Arpita C Mittra of DTDC Express Ltd.

Commenting on the announcement,  Abhishek Chakraborty, Executive Director, DTDC Express Ltd said, “The Northeast has during the past couple of years registered great numbers, specifically in the demand for e-commerce services, which validates newer establishments in the state. Pamohi in Guwahati is a strategic location that helps us to connect with many regions across the state and beyond, thereby allowing us to optimize the returns from every pin code in the region.”

Donation to CM’s Relief Fund

DTDC Express Ltd has donated Rs 5 lakh to Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in view of the recent devastating floods in the state. DTDC Express Ltd CMD Subhasish Chakraborty met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Dispur on Saturday and handed him a cheque amounting to Rs 5 lakh.
