To address challenges faced by weavers and artisans, a workshop is being planned in Guwahati on the use of digital technology for selling the local-made products through online platforms.

The e-commerce training workshop is being exclusively organized for the participants of the Rongali Mela at NEDFi Haat in Guwahati from March 26.

With knowledge on digital marketing tools, the artisans can connect to the national market, making available their products through several online shopping portals.

Rongali Mela at NEDFi Haat would feature authentic craftsmanship of the indigenous communities of the region engaged in the sector, especially local handloom and handicrafts that keeps pulling crowds in the festive season.

From local knick knacks, souvenirs, ethnic dress to organic and local foods that include Til Pitha, Ghila Pitha, Narikol ladu, Chira, Muri, Gur; the expo would showcase products from self-help groups and local designers.
