An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale jolted Meghalaya and several other parts of Northeast India on Monday morning.
As per the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) the tremors were felt at around 9 am.
There were no reports of any casualties or damage.
