Five people, including three ITBP personnel, on June 28 tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh taking the state’s tally to 182.

As per a bulletin issued by state Directorate of Health Services, three fresh cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, one each from Namsai and Changlang districts.

The three cases of Itanagar Capital Complex were ITBP personnel who had returned from Assam while the Namsai case was reported from a returnee from Tamil Nadu, it said. The case from Changlang district was a returnee from Assam.

“All the cases have been detected from quarantine facilities. All are asymptomatic and shifted to COVID Care Centres,” the bulletin further said.

It stated that at present 121 patients were being treated.

Six COVID-19 patients were discharged after their samples tested negative for twice on June 28. Five were discharged from East Siang and one from Changlang districts. They were advised for 14-days home quarantine and self monitoring.

With this, 60 patients recovered and one died due to the pandemic in the state, the bulletin added.
