Four new cases puts Assam COVID-19 tally at 214

Four new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Assam so far on May 22, taking the total tally to 214.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed of the new cases through Twitter, adding that all were in quarantine.

While the first two cases were detected from Tezpur University zonal quarantine centre, the other two were from the quarantine centre in Jorhat.

Two of the persons detected with COVID-19 positive are from Sivasagar, and one each are from Dhakuakhana and Udalguri.

With these, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state stands at 214, out of which 54 have recovered and four have died so far.
