Four new COVID-19 cases reported in Arunachal

Four returnees from North Indian states tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh on June 10.

With four new cases, total 61 COVID-19 cases were reported so far in the state out which active cases stand at 57.

“Four returnees, three from UP’s Noida and one from Punjab, who were in quarantine facility tested positive for COVID-19 today and shifted to COVID Care Centre. Of four new cases, three are from Changlang and one from East Siang districts,” a senior Health official said.

On June 10, two patients who have recovered from the disease, were discharged from COVID Care Centre, state quarantine facility at Lekhi village in Itanagar after their three consecutive swab test results came negative. They were sent to 14-days home quarantine.

They were handed over the discharge slips by Itanagar Capital Region Deputy Commissioner Komkar Dulom and District Medical Officer (Capital) Dr Mandip Perme.

With these, the total number of COVID-19 positive patients recovered and discharged stand at four in the state.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, releasing a video clip of the state’s second Covid-19 patient who was released on June 9, said, “A moment to rejoice and celebrate hope. Arunachal’s second #COVID19 patient has recovered. Thank you all team of doctors, health workers and other officials for taking good care of him.”
