Tripura on April 10 reported a fresh COVID-19 positive case taking the total tally in the state to 2.
Confirming this, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted that the 32-year-old patient is from Madhya Pradesh and has been staying at Damcherra.
“The patient is 32 years old male from Madhya Pradesh and currently staying at Damcherra and has travelled along with the last COVID19 positive patient in train,” the chief minister informed.
Deb further urged the people not to panic and stay home. “Don’t panic, we are taking all possible measures to keep everyone secure. Stay home,” he wrote on Facebook.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Northeast region increased to 35. Currently there are 28 positive cases in the region while a patient in Manipur and 5 in Assam recovered from the disease. On April 10, a patient from Assam’s Hailakandi district died because of COVID-19 related complications.
