Gandhi Mandap in Guwahati

Along with many iconic buildings across the world, the Gandhi Mandap in Guwahati will go blue on November 20, on World Children’s Day, in solidarity with child rights and the impact of COVID-19 on children’s lives.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan, Qutub Minar, India Gate and Gateway of India are some of the iconic buildings and monuments across India that will #GoBlue on World Children’s Day on November 20.

A UNICEF campaign at Gandhi Mandap in Guwahati

The UNICEF and Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) have come together to turn the Gandhi Mandap blue.

On November 17, UNICEF had a meeting with CEO, GMDA, Umandnada Doley, who is keen that Guwahati joins rest of the nation in celebrating the #GoBlue campaign.

Guwahati Development Department minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya along with Doley shall be at Gandhi Mandap on November 20 at 5 pm for the ceremonial switching on of the #GoBlue campaign.

Children from different districts of Assam will be joining the minister and the CEO and will present their manifesto on this occasion.
