At a time when the people of the region are suffering a lot because of dilapidated condition of roads, a BJP MP in Assam said that, good roads result in more accidents.

Pallab Lochan Das, BJP MP from Tezpur parliamentary constituency said in a public meeting at Tezpur on Friday that “…good roads result in more accidents. If the road condition is dilapidated then it forces the youth to drive their motorcycles in lesser speed, which has reduced the number of road accidents.”

“We have constructed good roads and the youth ride their motorcycles in high speed and meet with accidents. There is no benefit to construct good roads. If the roads are in dilapidated condition, then it reduces the number of accidents. Good roads lead to more accidents,” the BJP MP said.
