Guwahati-based PR and reputation management consultancy, Life’s Purple, conducted a webinar with the students of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Bhopal recently.

Speaking on the importance and nitty-gritty of crisis communication through a webinar, attended by various students and faculty members of the university, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Life’s Purple, Vikash Singh, enunciated that the world is living through a crisis right now, and e-learning has become the new normal in the education sector.

The 90-minute session deliberated on effective ways of communication while addressing a crisis and highlighted real-world examples of PR communicators trying to mitigate crisis with effective use of communication tools.

“In the post COVID-19 world, the new normal is human relationship through physical distancing. E-classes are being taken by several schools, colleges, and universities. They do have limitations, but it is beneficial for many people as well. I am happy that we could participate in such an initiative,” said Vikash Singh.

Singh, who is also an alumnus of the prestigious university, elaborated on various case studies which enabled the audience to understand the fundamentals of crisis communication.
