Guwahati girl Tanisha Kashyap outplayed her opponent to win the Under 16 national tennis title — Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship on Saturday.

Tanisha defeated Prinkle Singh of Chandigarh by 6-1, 6-4 to maintain her dominance throughout the tournament.

In her journey to the final, she has not lost a single set in any round.

Primarily coached by her father Suresh Kalita, Tanisha is doing advance training under former Davis Cup player and coach Vishal Uppal and being guided by London 2012 Olympian Rushmi Chakravarthi.

She also competed in the Road to Wimbledon National Finals on the grass at Wimbledon in August in 2016.
