Dipankar Talukdar from Guwahati won the Mister Model of the World Star title and the Mister Photogenic subtitle at the Mister Model of the World competition in Myanmar on September 5.
Mister India Model of the World, Dipankar Talukdar, represented India at the Mister Model of the World pageant held in Myanmar where contestants from 15 countries participated.
Speaking to The News Mill from Myanmar, Dipankar said that he is overwhelmed to be one of the winners. “No words can explain my happiness now. I am proud that with help from my mentors and well-wishers, I could achieve this. I must thank the people of India, and especially Assam, for their love and blessings,” he said.
Earlier during the competition at Myanmar, Dipankar was seen donning the Axomiya gamusa along with other contestants. “Being a proud Assamese, I knew that there could be no better memento than our beautiful Axomiya gamusa, which I respectfully offered to all the contestants and event officials. It made my heart swell with pride to see them adorning it so gracefully,” he had said.
Twenty-five-year-old Dipankar Talukdar won the Mr India title at the finale event held at Bengaluru in the first week of March. The pageant show was directed by Akshay Raichurkar, who also groomed the models besides himself being the director of several international beauty pageants.
The Mister Model of the World pageant envisaged to be a foundation for handsome and smart men, who have the passion and commitment to show the beauty of the world, through fashion, culture, heritage and values, while promoting peace and their individual advocacies.
