The 19th edition of the annual techno-management festival of IIT Guwahati – Techniche opened to a grand beginning on August 31. Enthusiasts are pouring in from different areas of the country to witness the celebration of technology. Techniche encompasses events ranging from various facets like technology, management and fun.

Speaking about his participation at IIT Techniche, Mike Morasky, a man well known for his work in the Matrix Trilogy and Lord of the Rings says, “I’m super honored and excited to be speaking at the #Techniche conference in #Guwahati India. Looks to be an excellent series. #IITGuwahati”

Lecture Series: The lecture series, serves as a platform to inspire and motivate thousands of young minds across the world by connecting them with the pioneers in various fields. This year, one can witness lectures by eminent personalities of a wide spectrum of fields like popular host of ‘How It’s Made’ show in Discovery Channel, Brooks Moore on August 31; Harvard professor and economist and member of Rajya Sabha, Subramanian Swamy on September 1; railway minister, Suresh Prabhu on September 2; VFX artist of Hollywood movies like Lord of the Rings and The Matrix and music composer CS GO, Mike Morasky on September 3 and many more.

Industrial Conclave: This 3-day long, high profile event serves as an ideal interface between the industry and the students to inspire motivate and train them for the battle for success in life. Eminent personalities from various spheres will be here to share their invaluable experiences, which helps the young minds understand the internal dynamics of the ever growing industry.

Workshops: With the best technical experts and interaction with students sharing common interest, the workshops will help delve deeper into the subject. Funniche: Experience some of the most crazy activities and games on offer like Sumo Wrestling, Chess and Lazer Tag on all days under the Funniche Module. Undoubtedly this is the place where everyone would want to be. Packed with an ensemble of fun activities, these events keep everyone entertained. Funniche has something for one and all and this year Techniche promises to multiply the fun quotient like never before.

ProNites: After the sun sinks into the horizon, get blown away into what can only be described best as sheer ecstasy. Welcome to the Proshows at Techniche, where you can witness standup comedians, rock bands, beatboxing, technodelic and visual shows. Notable performances this year would be guitar performance by Dhruv Vishvanath on August 31; hilarious comedy evening with Sahil Shah – one of the founding members of East India Comedy and the Punmaster on September 1; stunning fusion of dance and technology by a popping dance crew from South Korea – The Animation Crew on September 2, an upcoming Hindi Rock Band, Naalayak to perform a show with perfect blend of relatable lyrics and exceptional music on September 3 and many more.
