IIT Guwahati Alcheringa is back in 2021 with its 25th edition

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati’s annual cultural festival, Alcheringa is back with its 25th edition, which will be held from March 19-21.

Alcheringa, whose name comes from an Australian aboriginal legend and means ‘Eternal Dreamtime’, is one of India’s top cultural festivals. The IIT-Guwahati fest attracts thousands of tourists, with students travelling from all over India to participate in the festivities.

“Alcheringa offers budding artists the ideal forum to show off their mettle while extolling their euphoria with its seamless mix of competitive bouts and eternal exuberance. You can be a Rockstar, Singer, Actor, or Techie here, and you can also win a lot!” said an official statement from team Alcheringa.

A global pandemic could not deter the IIT Guwahati students from organizing the fest as the 25th edition of Alcheringa is now possible via virtual mode with PayTM Insider set to be its platform.

Alcheringa promises tons of entertainment and excitement for three days with eight modules of events. This year’s edition is loaded with exhilarating rock shows, liberating classical sets, modish fashion shows, brain-storming quizzes, exhilarating electric music, and much more.

Esteemed panels like director’s cut – where you can interact with Indian and international directors; gaming panel to interact with top professional players, a cricketer’s panel, a content creator’s panel and also a travel panel identified as travel vloggers, are set to provide special insights into different fields.

These events are planned on the stage that has continually been graced over the years by behemoths of the entertainment industry like Vishal Shekhar, Mika Singh, Diego Miranda, Marnik, Lucky Ali, Mohit Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Strings among a number of artists.
