Jiribam district in Manipur vaccinated all eligible citizens against COVID-19 thereby becoming the first district in the Northeast state to achieve 100% COVID vaccination.
The district has vaccinated all eligible citizens with at least one dose of the jab.
Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh took to Twitter to congratulate the district. “I’m happy to learn that all eligible persons at Jiribam district have been vaccinated with at least one dose COVID vaccine. In recognition of this remarkable achievement within a short period of time, Jiribam district will be given a reward of Rs 20 Lakh,” the chief minister announced.

Healthcare workers in the district vaccinated 31,548 persons till date with 5,658 of them receiving both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Everyone in the district were vaccinated with Covishield.
