Karbi Anglong delegation submits memorandum to Sonowal

A delegation of various organizations from Karbi Anglong district led by MLA, Diphu Sum Ronghang met Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday. The delegation submitted a memorandum on various demands to the CM including implementation of Article 244 (A) of the Constitution of India.

Sonowal assured the delegation to considerately look into their demands. He informed them that Assam government accords top priority to equal development of all areas of the state irrespective of the hills and plains. “Development of the hilly districts is always a priority for the government and we have already initiated number of schemes in this regard”, he informed adding that all government schemes are uniformly executed to bring out overall development of the state.

Two Executive Members, KAAC and several Members of the Autonomous Council also accompanied the delegation.
