At least 10 people were reported to be dead in Mizoram due to landslides occurred by incessant rain for more than last 48 hours, according to local media.

The landslides occurred in south Mizoram’s Tlabung sub-division in Lunglei district while around 350 houses have been submerged by flooding rivers since Monday.

Three bodies have been found and seven are still missing till the time of filing this report.

National Highway 54, which links Assam with Mizoram, has been cut off at different places.

A large number of vehicles are stranded along the national highway.
