Lightning strike kills two, injures three others in Meghalaya

Two persons were killed and three others were injured in a lightning strike at Charbatapara village, near Phulbari in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya on June 24.

Local MLA SG Esmatur Mominin had apprised Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma and has sought financial aid for the family of the deceased.

Mominin requested the deputy commissioner, West Garo Hills for immediate aid for the bereaved families.

The MLA is monitoring the well being of the injured and has made all necessary arrangement for their treatment at a local hospital in neighbouring Goalpara district of Assam.
