Guwahati: A whole lot of celebrations coloured the atmosphere at the first floor of the Gulshan Grand building  at Super Market in Guwahati on Saturday afternoon, as the presence of one of the most celebrated designers of the region Garima Saikia Garg marked the inauguration ceremony of Guwahati’s newest restro-lounge Zero Degree. The 4000 sq ft restaurant, which is a part of TRM Group Pvt. Ltd., is not only spacious but also exhibits a unique contemporary artistic décor that gets you in the right mood for a nice and relaxing day with friends, colleagues and family members. The new restro-lounge greets Guwahatians with unlimited variety of dishes and drinks to woo their variant taste buds and limitless culinary preferences.

Speaking on the launch Tabreez Choudhury, Founder of Zero Degree said, “Zero Degree is a not just a restaurant — it is a culinary adventure of fusion food with a twist of spice. We already have three branches in Bangalore under the brand name “The Hell’s Kitchen”; so opening the fourth one in my home town Guwahati is a dream-come-true. In the menu of my new lounge, I have brought together an assortment of food from my culinary journeys. I am sure that you will enjoy eating them as much I have enjoyed creating them.”

The entire cuisine served in Zero Degree is a happy blend of Indian, Chinese and Indonesian food and is available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. An average meal for two at the restro-lounge would cost around Rs. 1,200.

Tabreez Choudhury, the founder, has designed the entire space himself. Every piece of furniture installed in the restaurant has its own unique charm, concept, plus a story to tell. However, the catchiest piece of décor in the restro-lounge would be the unique beer bottle chandelier – which is the largest of its kind in the entire country – and Tabreez is aiming to enter it in the Limca Book of Records. “The previous record holding beer bottle chandelier is in Fenny’s located in Bangalore. It has 1405 bottles. Zero Degree’s chandelier, consisting of 1685 bottles, will be listed in the 2017 edition of the record book as the largest in India”, said Tabreez.

The music played here is peppy and hip and with a classic range of rock, pop, and easy listening numbers for you to choose from. Live band performances will also liven up the evening and get you in that party mood.

Speaking on the launch Garima Garg said, “An aesthetically created ambience with music, nice décor and theme, Zero Degree is a completely new concept in Guwahati. The food menu not only covers our country menu, but also flavours from the Ming dynasty and Southeast Asia. It is like a variety of dishes being on a served on single platter. Now Guwahati has a classy destination where we can enjoy a wonderful afternoon or evening with our family and friends.”

“Guwahati is a very potential market and one of the fastest growing cities in India. The wonderful food, teamed with the singular ambience will contribute towards converting every moment you spend in the restaurant into a lasting memory. I am sure we will soon become one of the hot favourites for all people who have a weakness for good ambience, wonderful food and good music”, concludes Tabreez.
