Lukanand Kshetrimayum from Imphal, Manipur won the Mister India International title and the Garnier Men Mega Mister North East 2019 title at a glittering function at the ITA Cultural Complex, Machkhowa in Guwahati on August 8.
The winner of this year’s Mega Mister North East will represent India at the Mister International event to be held later this year.
18-year-old Lukanand, a class XII student, won the competition in front of a packed auditorium on Thursday. “I am overwhelmed. This is a dream-coming-true moment for me. It’s yet to sink in,” said Lukanand who dedicated the award to his family.
Other winners were Jonathan Thangeo from Mizoram and Sonam Paul Tenzing from Sikkim.
27-year-old Jonathan is pursuing degree in law. “I am very happy to be here today. I must thank all my well wishers, the jury members and Mega Entertainment for the opportunity,” Jonathan said just after winning the title of Garnier Men Mega Mister North East, 2019.
22-year-old Sonam Paul Tenzing has completed his masters in commerce. “I am happy to have won here today. This award means a lot to me,” he said.
Mega Entertainment, Northeast’s largest fashion and pageant event organizer, hosted the 10th edition of Garnier Men Mega Mister North East on August 8.
The Grand Finale of the 10th Garnier Men Mega Mister North East, supported by Garnier Men, Radisson Blu, Vodafone SuperNet 4G, Sony Alpha and Sin Denim.
The finalists were chosen through a series of auditions held in Itanagar, Tezpur, Kokrajhar, Agartala, Shillong, Imphal and Guwahati. Through these auditions, the pageant organizers shortlisted 50 men who competed to win the title of Garnier Men Mega Mister North East, 2019.
The contestants went through a strict pre-judging process during their training and grooming sessions. The events are conceptualized by fashion entrepreneur Abhijit Singha and have been produced by Mega Entertainment.
