Lutuma Football Academy (B) of Guwahati emerged as the champions of second edition of Decathlon Kipsta Cup held at Decathlon play area, Azara on April 7.
The two-day 5-a-side tournament organized by Sportscraft Management in association with Guwahati City FC saw 33 teams across Northeast participating for glory.
Lutuma FA (B) defeated NEFians 1-0 to lift the trophy and cash prize of Rs 15000. Runner up NEFians was also awarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 7,500.
Kushal Chetri of Lutuma FA (B) was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the tournament which was supported by Champion’s Food Court, The News Mill, Egua and GMC.
GCFC trials conducted
Over 200 players from different parts of the country participated in the trials of Guwahati City FC held at Horticulture Research Station, Azara on April 7. Selected players will be inducted in various age group teams of GCFC youth academy and will participate in various upcoming local, regional and national championships, a press release by GCFC stated.
