Manipur CM conferred with ‘Saviour of Youths’ title

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh was conferred the title ‘Saviour of Youths’ by Holistic Vista SUD Treatment Centre for his initiative on ‘war against drugs’ campaign.

The chief minister was felicitated by chief functionary of Holistic Vista SUD Treatment Centre Lalit Sapam and Senior Counsellor of the Treatment Centre Anil Khuraijam in a function held at Chief Minister’s Secretariat on February 9.

Singh thanked the centre for honouring and encouraging him and the state government towards striving for a society free from drug menace. The chief minister appealed the people to support the initiative of the government on ‘War against Drugs’.

He further informed that no one will be spared including politicians, police personnel etc. who are involved in the illegal drug business in the state. He maintained that appropriate action will be taken against those persons under the law. He stated that till now, illegal drugs amounting to more than Rs 2000 crores have been confiscated and around 100 persons have been jailed for involving in illegal drug activities in the state.
