Manipur governor holds meeting with religious leaders

Manipur governor La Ganesan convened a meeting of religious leaders of Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, ISKCON and Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board at Raj Bhavan in Imphal on February 4 and discussed about the COVID-19 vaccination drive.

The Manipur governor expressed his happiness to know that leaders of different religious groups as well as officials of health department were attended the meeting.

During the interaction, all the leaders expressed their valuable willingness to extend cooperation at the best level.

The governor, in brief, informed them about the viral disease and how to prevent it and save life. He said that the best way forward is vaccination.

The Manipur governor made an appeal to all of them to extend their invaluable cooperation to get the mission succeeded.

He reiterated the contributions made by frontline workers, doctors, civil society organizations and also reminded the relentless efforts made by the government to overcome this pandemic.

The dedication for the people of the country will always be remembered by all irrespective of caste, religion and creed, the governor said.

All the leaders present in the meeting supported the idea of the governor.
