Manipur Police recovers huge cache of arms and ammunition

Manipur Police and 13 DOGRA, in a joint operation, recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, hidden at Maibam Kabui Khul in Bishnupur district, on June 13 night.

On June 13 evening, a specific information was received that some unknown persons, suspected to be members of proscribed KCP-MC, had hidden arms and ammunition, police said.

A joint team of district police and 13 DOGRA cordoned off the area.

Three packages containing one IED, two hand grenade, carbine, AK series with one magazine, 12 bore single barrel gun, .32mm pistol (US made) with two magazines, carbine magazine, two I-Com handheld radio , 100 5.56mm ammunition, three 7.62mm ammunition, two .32 mm ammunition and two cartoon ammunition were recovered from the spot.

The packages were concealed in between group of trees and heavy undergrowth.
