Mega Miss Northeast Meriya Subba walks red carpet of Miss Sikkim Diva
Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2016 Meriya Subba and Colin Jacob Rajan- 2nd Runner-up, Fair & Lovely Men Mega Mister North East 2016, walked the red carpet of Miss Sikkim Diva 2016.
In their very first public appearance post winning their titles on 18th and 19th June, the winners of northeast’s most celebrated pageant cheer for the contestants of Miss Sikkim Diva 2016. It is worth mentioning that Meriya Subba had won the 2nd runner-up title in Miss Sikkim Diva pageant last year. Communicating with the 16 contestants of Sikkim’s most popular pageant, Meriya said that nothing is impossible if one really strives hard to earn it.
Northeast’s most coveted fashion entrepreneur, designer and fashion choreographer, Abhijit Singha joined forces with the Positude team to choreograph the grand finalé of the very illustrious Miss Sikkim Diva 2016. It is worth mentioning that Gyurmila Bhutia, the CEO of Positude and the organizer of Miss Sikkim Diva, was one of the top 30 contestants of Mega Miss North East 2013 and had also won the “Miss Radiant Skin” title.
Making his appearance at the red carpet walk of the event, Abhijit Singha said, “I am very happy to see Positude creating a new platform for the young girls of Sikkim under the guidance of Gyurmila Bhutia. It is endearing to see so much untapped talent here and a pageant like Miss Sikkim Diva will definitely play an important role in providing a national platform to these young aspirants. I, on my part, will do my best to provide the winners of this pageant with as many opportunities as possible to highlight their talent.”
Gyurmila Bhutia explains that Sikkim Diva is a platform for the girls here to showcase their talent and is also being done for a social cause. Some of the profits from the event will be donated to social organizations in Sikkim. It aims to engage the youth in constructive activities.
