Mizoram on June 2 reported 12 COVID-19 cases from among people who returned to the state recently.
DIPR Mizoram informed that 12 people, including 1 male, tested positive for COVID-19 in the state. Among the positive cases, 11 were from Kolasib quarantine centre while one patient was already undergoing treatment at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC) in Aizawl.
All the patients are asymptomatic and are aged between 18-40 years, the DIPR information said. They are now being admitted at the ZMC for treatment.
Chief Minister Zoramthanga confirmed about the new cases on Twitter and said that the patients are under professional care.
Among the 12 new cases, 10 are returnees from Delhi while two others came from Kolkata recently.
