Ladies organization, Shreemoyee Asomiya Mohila Mondal (SAMM), Mumbai, organized a felicitation programme on June 24 for the high scorers of class X and XII examinations.

The felicitation program was held at Vashi, Navi Mumbai where a number of students were felicitated by the organization.

SAMM, since its inception, has been felicitating Assamese students securing higher percentage in class X and XII examinations.

During the programme, SAMM secretary Indrani Sharma Borpuzari welcomed the guests, students and their parents who all have joined the program in spite of the torrential rain in Mumbai. Assam government’s Joint resident commissioner, Mumbai, Devashish Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion while ONGC scientist Chandra Shekhar Sharma and media and marketing professional Jutika Mahanta were the guest of honour.

SAMM vice president Dipali Goswami presided over the function and addressed the audience.

Singer Monika Bhorodaj presented a beautiful song before the audience. Mamoni Gogoi presented the vote of thanks while Moushumi Bora compared the program.
