Nagaland COVID-19 cases rise to 58

With the detection of nine new cases of Novel Coronavirus in Nagaland, the active cases of COVID-19 increased to 58 on June 3.

Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom tweeted on June 3, informing that out of 119 samples tested throughout the state, nine more returnees from Chennai tested COVID-19 positive.

Altogether 1469 people, mostly students and migrant workers, who were stranded in Chennai during the lockdown for COVID-19, reached Dimapur on May 22.

All of them were quarantined in various quarantine centers of Dimapur, Kohima and Tuensang.
