Following back to back poor show, the NorthEast United FC has decided to part ways with the head coach Robert Jarni on February 10 on a day when they drew with the visiting Jamshedpur FC.

“NorthEast United FC would hereby like to confirm that The Club has parted ways with head coach Robert Jarni and his coaching staff through mutual agreement. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the best interests of The Club and our recent performances in the Hero ISL. NorthEast United FC would like to thank Jarni and his team for their service over the last five months,” said a statement from the club management.

The club is currently looking for a viable replacement to bring stability and sustainability to the team and as of now the assistant coach Khalid Jamil will take over as the interim coach.

On February 10, the match ended with 3-3. With this, the NEUFC stands on the ninth position in the table.

The 51-year old former Croatian left winger, however, is yet to make a statement in this regard.
