New COVID-19 case in Assam’s Hailakandi district takes total tally to 28

Assam on April 7 evening reported yet another COVID-19 positive case, taking the total count in the state to 28.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that a person from Hailakandi district in the state, with a travel history to Saudi Arabia, has been confirmed as COVID-19 positive.

This is the first such case from the district.
