New governor arrives in Tripura, to take charge on July 29
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with his team received the newly appointed Governor Ramesh Bais in Raj Bhawan by according him the ceremonial guard of honour on July 27.
Former Union minister of Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, 72-year-old Ramesh Bais is scheduled to take oath as 18th governor of Tripura in a ceremonial function at Raj Bhawan on July 29. The Chief Justice of high court Sanjoy Koral would administer him the oath of office and secrecy.
The state government representatives received him in the airport and escorted him to Raj Bhawan where he was given formal reception. He has introduced with the cabinet members of Deb and to officials of the administration.
Meanwhile, the outgoing governor Kaptan Singh Solanki would be leaving the state on July 28 and the state government had accorded him formal farewell last evening on his retirement from the post on July 26.
