NF Railway announces special trains to clear festive season rush

To clear extra rush of passenger during the festive season, the Railways decided to run some special trains from next week.

The special trains will run – for four trips each between Dibrugarh and Puri; one trip each between Anand Vihar (T) – Katihar, Delhi – Katihar and Anand Vihar (T) – Jogbani and for two trips each between New Jalpaiguri and Kanyakumari, a statement from NF Railway said on October 30

Among these special trains, train no. 05970 Dibrugarh – Puri Festival Special will run for four trips – on November 7, 14, 21 and 28 (Sunday) leaving from Dibrugarh at 7:25 pm to reach Puri at 11 am on Tuesday.

In the return direction, train no. 05969 Puri – Dibrugarh Festival Special will run for four trips – on November 10, 17, 24 and December 1 (Wednesday) leaving from Puri at 5 am to reach Dibrugarh at 8:50 pm on Thursday.

Other festive special trains announced by NF Railway on October 30 includes train no. 09644/09643 Anand Vihar (T) – Katihar – Anand Vihar (T) Festival special and train no. 09634/09633 Delhi – Katihar – Delhi Festival special. Both the trains will run for a trip each from each direction.

Train no. 09632/09631 Anand Vihar (T) – Jogbani – Anand Vihar (T) Festival special will run for one trip from each direction. Also, train no. 05706 New Jalpaiguri – Kanyakumari Festival Special will run for two trips.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available in IRCTC website. “Passengers are requested to see these details before undertaking their journey,” the statement further said.

“Passengers are requested to observe the COVID-19 related safety measures and instructions of their respective states during journey,” it said.
