Landslide at New Haflong station in Dima Hasao district, Assam

After over 2,000 passengers had to be rescued due to landslides at the New Haflong station, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) has announced cancellation of several trains in the Lumding division.

Heavy rain has caused waterlogging and landslides at several sections of the Lumding division of the NF Railway, including the Jatinga Lumpur and New Harangajao section, the Bandarkhal and Ditokcherra sections.

To prevent any untoward incident the NF Railway has announced the cancellation of several trains in the next few days.

Partially cancelled/short termination/short origination of trains:

– Train 13173 Sealdah – Agartala Kanchanjunga express, commencing journey on May 17, 19 and 20 will be short terminated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Lumding and Agartala.

– Train 13174 Agartala – Sealdah Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on May 17, 19 and 21; 22 will be short originated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Agartala and Lumding.

– Train 13175 Sealdah – Silchar Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on May 16, 18 and 21 will be short terminated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Lumding and Silchar.

– Train 13176 Silchar – Sealdah Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on May 18, 20 and 23 will be short originated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Silchar and Lumding.

– Train 12515 Coimbatore – Silchar express, commencing journey on May 15 will be short terminated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Lumding and Silchar.

– Train 12508 Silchar – Thiruvananthapuram Central express, commencing journey on May 19 will be short originated at Guwahati and remain partially cancelled between Silchar and Guwahati.

– Train 14620 Firozpur Cant – Agartala express, commencing journey on May 16 will be short terminated at Guwahati and remain partially cancelled between Guwahati and Agartala.

– Train 14619 Agartala – Firozpur Cant express, commencing journey on May 19 will be short originated at Guwahati and remain partially cancelled between Agartala and Guwahati.

– Train No Silchar – New Delhi Poorvottar Sampark Kranti express, commencing journey on May 16 will be short originated at Guwahati and remain partially cancelled between Silchar and Guwahati.

– Train 02983 Bangalore Cant – Agartala express, commencing journey on May 20 will be short terminated at Guwahati and remains partially cancelled between Guwahati and Agartala.

– Train 02984 Agartala – Bangalore Cant express, commencing journey on May 24 will be short originated at Guwahati and remain partially cancelled between Agartala and Guwahati.
